  Personally I don’t think this is an effect that I will ever need. Still I guess many other people might have a use for it. It sure beats having to create a new graphic each time you need some text rotated.

  That’s the trick. Not having to create a new graphic every time something changes is priceless. Anytime I can use CSS instead of Photoshop, I’m game.

  The original article does say it works in IE. When I looked at it in IE8 I had to adjust one setting with Firebug to get the year to show up in the brown box. But once I tweaked it…worked fine.

  I have tried to implement rotating text into a welcome message on an old website I have. I really struggled. I use dreamweaver and use WYSIWYG platform, i’m terrible with both code and CSS unfortunately!
