Testing your website design is one of the best ways to determine how well things are working. Testing doesn’t have to be hard either. A lot of times simple adjustments can make a huge difference.

For example: Using “Free Quote” instead of “Submit” on your contact form can drastically increase click thrus.

WordPress 2.8.4: Security Release

This vulnerability happened to my site today (hours before this release) and almost caused me to re-think Wordpress. I’ve been hacked before a few times and I was really getting tired of it.

But once again the Wordpress community is REALLY on top of things. By the time I changed quite a few settings and added a bunch of security plugins, this 2.8.4 Security Release came out.

Launching a New Design

I try and re-design my website every year to keep it fresh and up-to-date. Obviously some years the design and development process goes faster than others and this year was no exception.

I was planning on launching my new site on January 1st, but as you can tell that didn’t happen. I was fortunate enough to hook up with another local company here in Greenville that needed a pretty regular front-end developer, so I am glad to say that the re-design didn’t get launched because I was incredibly busy.
