Web Designer and SEO Consultant

I have been a web designer since 2000 and have been working as an SEO and consultant for various companies since 2002. Starting at small design firms, I rapidly learned the necessities of developing a strong branding presence within both a strict timeline and budget.

Moving into the corporate world, I worked at Einstein Industries, an international multi-million dollar marketing and SEO firm in San Diego where I developed custom websites for cosmetic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, LASIK eye surgeons, and lawyers. I quickly rose to the top of the company and held one of the six senior designer positions for three years.

In May of 2007, I was snatched up by Jackson Marketing Group (formerly Jackson-Dawson Marketing Solutions) in Greenville, SC, where I was brought on as a web designer to increase their awareness of accessible website design and SEO. Serving as an in-house SEO consultant, I have had the chance to work with some of the firm’s most prestigious clients, including BMW, Milliken, Blue-Bird, Capsugel, and Alemite. I also speak at local and regional conferences on search engine optimization and search engine marketing from time to time.

I constantly keep up-to-date with web standards and developments both in search engine optimization and search engine marketing. I have published many articles on website development and online marketing strategies, several of which have appeared on Google News and WebProNews.

From One Office to Another

Outside of my 9-5 job, I also freelance as a web designer and SEO consultant. I do front-end (CSS/XHTML) development work for Brightball, I'm a contributing author at Marketing Pilgrim and Search Engine Journal, and I am a co-creator of Wildfire Productions. I also write about accessible website design and development and offer blogging advice here on this site.
